I lost all my money on Bodog. I had $10 remaining on my original account of $50, and I was upset because I could never get over $30 or under $10, my own “Lost” of gambling. So I chose to $8 on Big Nog, but he got KO’ed by Cain. Then I got sad and chose to put the remaining $2 on the Birmingham-Fulham under 2.5 goals, which I lost as well. And that is how my world came crashing down in a matter of moments . But don’t worry, tomorrow I’ll deposit $200 more and I’ll be back on my way .

The $5 Deal

There’s something magical about the $5 deals that great restaurants like Subway have been slanging around. It all began with the $5 footlong (pause) and now that deal is extended to ALL Subway subs, not just the ones on the menu. And a couple weeks ago, that Taco Bell commercial featuring Charles Barkley appeared where he was slanging around a $5 Taco Bell box ’cause it rocks. But it looks like the king of the $5 meal is Little Caesar’s $5 large pizza. When I first received the advertisement in the mail a month ago, I had to rub my eyes. Was I dreaming? $5 for a large pepperoni pizza, no wait, just go to the store and pick it up? Are you serious?

Within the next couple of weeks, I will hit up all these $5 deals and will report back and document my findings. First, tonight, I will eat this Little Caesar’s meal. Look for twit picts of my pizza. $5!!!!

NBA Trade Deadline Timeline vs. My Life Timeline

Yesterday was an important day in the NBA trading deadline. I knew I would be in for a long night. Here is a document of the activity in chronological order, along with my thoughts and dreams sprinkled in:

9 PM: Portland Timbers game ends, I head to my car

9:15 PM: I stop by KFC for a 99 cent snacker (it was delicious btw)

10 PM: I arrive at home

Sometime between 10 PM and midnight: I check my twitter feed and the news drops that the Houston Rockets have traded for Kevin Martin. Due to a the activity of my twitter feed and AIM, I lose momentary consciousness. I don’t remember what happened from 10:23 to 10:34 PM as I blacked out. I woke up on my bath tub.

11 PM: I log back onto twitter and talk mad shit

12:30 AM: I pass out

I spent the latter part of the week upgrading the site so it looks more reality now. It was a long, grueling process, but don’t worry, I made it out alive. Updating this blog was one of the most draining things I’ve gone through in a long time both mentally, physically and spiritually. Thank you to youtube for showing me instructional videos on how to work wordpress.

Updates to the site are not 100% complete yet, so keep your eye on things towards the future!

Dreams of a community

The rururublog idea was established sometime last summer in the midst of haze, fun, and laughter. It began as a betting blog for me and Jake (pause) but yesterday night, I realized this blog could be so much more. I want this blog to be a community of fun, laughter, and happiness. I believe we can establish this sort of community here. That is why I am announcing that I’m creating another blog ’cause this blog is wack as fuck right now. I want to be my own conglomerate with like 15 blogs, one on each aspect of life that I represent. And then we’ll all combine our powers like Captain Planet .

My All-NCAA Team of the Year So Far

The college basketball season is about halfway over, and here is my 2010 All-College Team:

PG: Nic Wise, Arizona – Great little point guard in the Aaron Brooks mode. Unstoppable in the clutch

SG: Tweety Carter, Baylor – Another great little point guard in the Aaron Brooks mode. I knew he was nice since the first time I ever laid eyes on him a few years ago at the Les Schwab Tournament. He was hitting nothing but net from about 40 feet out in the pregame and I knew I had to follow this guy.

SF: Aubrey Coleman, Houston – I don’t know much about this him except he’s really good and he’s from the city of lean

PF: Charles Garcia, Seattle – He was everyone’s favorite player a couple months ago playing in D-II and averaging about 30 per game.

C: Chuck Hayes – this is my wildcard. I know Chuck Hayes is in the NBA, but if I had to pick any center to play on this team, it’d be Chuck Hayes regardless.

6th Man: Mike Gerrity, USC – I feel bad for him and his conference. USC is the best team in the Pac-10 but can’t quality for the tournament. But on an Aaron Brooks scoring pg heavy team, he would provide levity and provide a John Crotty-esque calm to the team.

My commitment to a college

The last four years have been a whirlwind. They have been hectic, full of ups and downs. I want to thank my family and my friends, my coaches for standing behind me (pause). I must look towards my future and pick a school that will not only develop me as a player, but also as a man. The most important criteria for me was coaching. I’d like to thank all the colleges that I visited, especially the “rally-girls” . I will countdown my top 5:

5. Ole Miss – yeah they are nice with it, but nah

4. Baylor University – I like the offense they run, and I like the campus but nah

3. Texas Tech – I would have loved to join the spread offense using my skills but like Bun B said “thangs changes” so I can’t roll with 3 yards and a cloud of dust, what you thinking.

2. Kansas University – This program is on the come up, and I love the Big 12 and I love Big 12 Country, but I need for freedom for my abilities and for my life

Which brings me to the school that I will choose to attend……..

1. TCU – I want to play offense but I know that Gary Patterson can turn any athlete into a dominant defender as was documented in the December issue of Sports Illustrated. Also, Dallas is a hot city, and with 3 of my 5 schools all in Texas you know where my heart is (Oregon). I can go play football and then at night, go to the club and do the stanky leg.

Okay, I’m going to let you in on a secret. I haven’t been recruited by no one . This is all a dreaaaaam

Why I am the Jon Fitch of gambling Part 3

Like Fitch, I hover around $100 and can never get any further. Fitch is a top contender but cannot beat GSP. My new goal for betting is to get to the $120-125 mark. If I can get to that mark, I feel I can move on and go to the $200 mark. After this weekend, I’m at $102.75 which is exactly where I was about 5 days ago.
